Hello and welcome to The Forted Bunker. I’m James Merritt, I’ve spent over 16 years working across eDiscovery, digital forensics and cyber security, and this site is where I share what I’ve learned along the way.
I started this blog back in 2018 because I wanted to give something back to the industry that’s given me so much. Since then, it’s grown into something I’m genuinely proud of, from in-depth articles and conference diaries to interviews with industry leaders, and now the Down in the Bunker podcast.
Over the years I’ve had the privilege of working on some truly complex, high-profile matters that have taken me across the globe. I’ve worked with a wide range of litigation support tools and platforms, and I currently specialise in the Relativity ecosystem alongside broader eDiscovery and forensic technology solutions.
